Smoking

Arundel House Restaurant & Rooms operates a No Smoking policy within the building. Where a customer has been found to have been smoking inside the building they will be politely asked to leave. Furthermore, where this smoking has taken place inside a bedroom, we will make a charge of £25 to facilitate the specialist cleaning of that room. Children

Arundel House Restaurant & Rooms is an adult environment created with your enjoyment in mind. Therefore we generally do not accept children under twelve years old in our restaurant, and under sixteen years old as overnight guests. The proprietors of Arundel House have children themselves and hope that you, like them, will appreciate a meal or an overnight stay away from your little loved ones.

Restaurant Reservations & Cancellations

We recommend that all reservations for the restaurant are secured with the details of a credit or debit card that remains valid until the date of the reservation. We insist on this security for tables of nine or more.

You will be asked for the card number, the valid from and expiry dates, the CVN number on your signature strip and the postcode and house number that the card is registered to.

In the event that you should cancel your reservation, or reduce the number in your party, within 24 hours of the time of your reservation, we will immediately charge £25 per person to your credit or debit card.

If you would prefer not to provide your card details your unsecured reservation may be lost in the event of a secured reservation subsequently being taken.

Room Reservations & Cancellations

We insist that all reservations for our rooms are secured with the details of a credit or debit card that remains valid until the date of the reservation.

You will be asked for the card number, the valid from and expiry dates, the CVN number on your signature strip and the postcode and house number that the card is registered to.

If you would prefer not to provide your card details your unsecured reservation may be lost in the event of a secured reservation subsequently being taken.

As long as we receive your written cancellation at least three days prior to your arrival, there will be no charge. For example, to cancel a reservation on Saturday we would need your written cancellation by Wednesday.

You can write to us using e-mail, post or fax and we will always respond to your cancellation request in case your delivery method has failed.

If we receive your written cancellation after this time, we would charge you for the whole of your reservation. We will not charge for any nights that we re-sell. We may offer a discount in order to re-sell your room, and we would charge you the balance outstanding.

Room Hire Charges

We welcome private party reservations at Arundel House Restaurant & Rooms and are able to adapt our seating to accommodate parties of up to sixteen guests.

Our room hire charge is calculated as £25 for every guests that your party is short of the maximum number of guests any room can hold. Therefore, ten guests enjoying a party in our small dining room would be charged £100 as a room hire charge for its exclusive use.

A service charge of 10% of the total bill is added to parties of nine or more guests.

All reservations for the restaurant must be secured with the details of a credit or debit card that remains valid until the date of the reservation. Please see our ‘Restaurant Reservations & Cancellations’ section for further details.

We do not request deposits for your reservation and your credit or debit card will not be charged prior to your reservation.

Arrivals and Departures

Check-in is guaranteed at 3pm but you are welcome to arrive earlier to organise luggage and car parking.

We do not have our own parking at Arundel House Restaurant & Rooms, and we suggest that you make use of Mill Road Car Park, opposite the entrance to the Castle, and two hundred metres from our front door. We will provide one car parking voucher for each room so that you may park free of charge in this car park.

Check-out is at 11am, although we may be able to arrange a late check-out if you would like. We charge £25 for an unarranged late check-out. Please allow fourty-eight hours for us to arrange a late check-out.
